Nicola Roberts is a partner in our Litigation, Restructuring and Insolvency team in Hong Kong. She is a vastly experienced contentious trusts lawyer and leads our contentious trust group in Asia. She qualified in England and Wales in 2001 and has worked in both BVI and Jersey (the latter for more than 9 years).
Nicola was admitted in the BVI in 2008 and qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in December 2014. Whilst in Jersey, Nicola’s practise was predominantly contentious trusts, working for trustees who were involved in complex, high-value litigation involving settlors, beneficiaries and/or executors in the UK, Europe, BVI, Singapore and Hong Kong.
In addition, Nicola specialises in restructuring and insolvency, fraud, asset-tracing and regulatory work including sanctions. With over 18 years of experience and having spent more than a decade offshore, Nicola is respected by her clients for her expertise, commerciality, diligence and practical approach. Nicola’s client list is diverse, encompassing international banks, trustees/fiduciary service providers, law and accountancy firms, ultra-high net worth individuals, insolvency office holders, funds, and corporate entities.
Nicola is recommended by Legal 500 and is a member of the Law Society in England and Wales, the Jersey Law Society, the Hong Kong Law Society and an overseas member of the Chancery Bar Association of England and Wales. She is also a member of INSOL International and IWIRC International.
